Andrew is the General Manager of Alltech E-CO₂. Andrew joined the company in 2010 to assist with the continued development of E-CO₂ both in the UK and overseas. Since then he has worked on the development of key models and services as well as a number of exclusive online carbon benchmarking tools for farmers. Much of Andrew’s work in recent years has comprised of the management of contracts with large corporate retailers and processors. Graduating in 2009 with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Geoscience, Andrew then went on to complete an MSc in Applied Environmental Geology at Cardiff University.

Ben is the Business General Manager of Alltech E-CO₂ having joined from Alltech after previously working on a number of joint business initiatives. Ben has worked to integrate Alltech’s global reach and culture to assist with the continued development of Alltech E-CO₂ in the UK and further afield. Graduating in 2011 with a BSc (Hons) in Biosciences, Ben followed this by completing an MSc in Science, Communication and Society.

Carrie graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2007, after completing a degree in Agri-Business Management. Carrie joined Alltech E-CO₂ from a dairy processing business where she worked on the farm liaison team. Previous to that she worked on a diversified hill farm in the Lake District. Carrie grew up on a family sheep farm in Cumbria.

James joined Alltech E-CO₂ in 2010 and as a CowSignals Certified Master Trainer has since consulted to farmers on environmental practices and animal health and welfare. Alongside this, James leads the Farm Services team, focusing on training, logistics and procedures for on farm assessments both in the UK and Internationally. James graduated from Harper Adams University College in 2007 after completing a degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management.

Steve joined the business in Feb 2017, prior to this he worked as a development lead for Cambridge Education Group running a team of software developers building data collection, management and reporting systems for an international chain of private schools. Steve graduated in 2002 from Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge with a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science. Outside of work Steve is a keen hiker, skier and campervan enthusiast travelling around the UK and the world in pursuit of nature, mountain vistas and the general tranquillity of the outdoors.

Geraint joined the team after graduating with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture from Harper Adams University. During his placement year he worked on a farm of over 2,000 acres, becoming proficient in the use of precision farming techniques to reach maximum efficiency in a sheep and arable context. In his dissertation he evaluated the impact of using cover crops to address weed suppression in an arable rotation. After working part-time on UK dairy farms for several years, Geraint travelled to New Zealand to gain six months’ experience of the grass based system of milk production.

Nyara joined the company in March 2018 to assist with the continued consistency and quality of the collected E-CO₂ data on farms in the UK and overseas. Nyara is an Agricultural Engineer (B.Sc.), graduated from Universidade Estadual de Maringa and has experience in data management, strategy and software improvements.

Alistair joined the company in April 2018. He worked for ADAS as a research technician before acquiring a MSc from Glasgow university in Food Security. After graduating he worked on a cider farm and brandy distillery in the heart of Somerset. He also spent a year in New Zealand, 9 months of which was on a dairy farm learning all aspects of how a dairy business operates.

Stephen joined in April 2018 following three years at the SUTD-MIT International Design Centre in Singapore, specialising in uncertainty quantification in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) modelling. Prior to that he spent five years working for SRUC whilst also completing a PhD at the University of Edinburgh. His work principally investigated LCA of high producing dairy production systems, with a focus on greenhouse gas emissions and genotype x environment interactions. He also completed a BSc at Edinburgh and an MA (Hons) in Environmental Sustainability at University of Glasgow.

Alice joined Alltech E-CO₂ in 2017 as part of the Administration team. Alice works extensively with farmers and the Alltech E-CO₂ team to ensure the assessment process is smooth and efficient.

Caitlin joined the company in July 2019 for her placement year and will work on a range of technical and on-farm projects. Caitlin is currently studying Biochemistry at the University of Leeds and will be at Alltech for the next 12 months.
