E-CO2 Announces Carbon Trust Recertification of Lamb Carbon Model
In order to ensure that E-CO2 remains a leader in the industry, every two years our carbon footprinting models are submitted, with scientific updates, to the Carbon Trust for recertification. Carbon Trust Certification, one of the UK’s premier certification bodies, reviews the revised models for PAS 2050 compliance.
This year’s recertification of E-CO2‘s lamb model is particularly significant for several reasons. First, and most importantly, the model has been updated to meet PAS 2050:2011 methodology. In addition, an expanded feed list was integrated allowing for more precise quantification of enteric emissions as well as the carbon cost of procuring each feed.
We are pleased to announce that the lamb model has been recertified effective until December 2014 subject to provisions.
